Questions
1. Considering your understanding of the leadership of various organizations coming into the course (and your initial management philosophy), and considering your awareness of this topic now, have your perceptions changed (if at all) throughout this Munich/Innsbruck experience? If it hasn’t changed, what has been reaffirmed? If it has changed, how has it changed?
2. Thinking back to the sport business session you attended, provide a short description of what the session was about and what was the major take away (point) of the presentation. Evaluate the presentation (was it good/ not good). Why was it good/not good – be as specific as you can be.
3. What part of the course did you find the most interesting/applicable to your life? What part of the course did you find the least interesting/applicable? Why did you come to these conclusions? Be as specific as you can be and include assignments, readings, classes, in class assignments, guest speakers.
4. How might you take some aspect(s) of this course and implement it as part of your leadership in the future? Think about this in relation to discussions you have had on developing a global mindset.
5. What issue (either one from this class, your own experiences or the news) related to the leadership of sport, recreation & tourism related organizations do you see as one that is critical over the next 10 years. Be as specific as you can (e.g., draw upon readings, data, your field trip experiences or outside sources to support your opinion).
6. What is one topic related to the leadership of sport, recreation & tourism organizations that we didn’t cover in class that should be included in future courses. OR what is one topic covered that needs to be expanded in future courses.
