About the Program
The Global Leadership Minor is a collaborative program through NC State's Shelton Leadership Center and the NC State European Center in Prague.

In order to successfully complete the Global Leadership minor, all students are expected to participate in a cohort-style study abroad program. The Spring 2022 GLM Cohort consisted of 16 students from a variety of disciplines.

During the program, we visited and took classes in Prague in the Czech Republic, Reutlingen and Munich in Germany, and Innsbruck, Austria. We were taught by seven different professors from a variety of American and European universities.

Although the trip was not a full semester, we earned 12 credits because we took a total of four classes, completing each class two weeks at a time. The accelerated pace of the program meant we were often in-class or doing class-related excursions Monday-Friday from 9 in the morning until 4 or 5 in the afternoon.

The goal of the coursework is to facilitate a greater understanding of leadership and team decision-making in a global context. Students will learn about important theories, inquiries and applications to become cross-disciplinary, global-minded leaders and work effectively in multicultural teams. .

Below is a breakdown of the classes we took and where. Each of these classes counted towards the Global Leadership Minor. Students must complete SLC 250: Critical and Creative Decision-Making prior to the study abroad experience.
